CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that it has acquired Montlaur Project Services Pty Ltd, a leading project management company in Australia. The acquisition significantly strengthens CBRE’s position as a leading provider of real estate services across the Pacific region.
Montlaur is active across a wide range of industry sectors including commercial, government, education, industrial, health and aged care, residential, retail and hospitality. Since its founding in 1988, Montlaur has delivered more than 2.5 million square metres of projects valued at more than AU$4.0 billion for clients such as Transurban, SEEK, Energy Australia and the Victorian Government.
Montlaur’s team of 52 professionals in Melbourne and Sydney will join CBRE’s existing Project Management group, which now has more than 170 professionals who have broad and deep capabilities to serve corporate occupiers and property owners.
CBRE Pacific CEO Phil Rowland said: “The quality of Montlaur’s people and their trusted client relationships will enhance our project management platform and capabilities, particularly in the Victorian market, where Montlaur has been a clear market leader.”
Montlaur Directors Brian Miller and Richard Hume will lead the combined Project Management operations in Victoria, reporting to Scott Jackman, Managing Director of CBRE’s Pacific Project Management business. Montlaur’s Leon Lachal will take on a new role as National Director, Project Management.
“The strength of the CBRE brand will enhance our ability to cultivate sustainable client relationships, provide enhanced growth opportunities for our staff in sectors we currently do not operate in, and give our clients access to CBRE’s broad service offering and global reach,’’ Mr. Lachal said.
